Make sure you're boat is polished, your crew is in top condition and the North Sails are trimmed!
On Saturday the 15th of November at 13.00hr local time (GMT +2) the starting cannon will fire off the real teams and the virtual ones!
The virtual race will host 62.000 players heading to Cochin, India!

1. THE START is 15/11/2008 at 11am GMT

• The start is November 15th 2008: Start Time: 13:00 hrs local time. (GMT +2).
• Your overall ranking is the ranking you had when we closed leg race one. Your leg rank will off course be the position you have during leg 2!
• You don't have to set your heading upfront because you will start automatically. The yachts will take off with the most optimal heading.
• You cannot change the colors or name of your yacht anymore. Unless you build a new one of course!

2. THE COURSE

Mauritius Mark and Scoring Waypoint
A mark has been set at Waypoint* 20000’00”S 580 00’00”E and shall be left to port

The Mauritius scoring waypoint is a line of Longitude 58E, south of Latitude
20S, crossing the line from west to east.


East African exclusion zone
As opposed to the real VOR, there will not be an exclusion zone for the Virtual Race

Finish Line
The mark will be set @ 09°57’80”N 76°10’ 43”E
The finish area is a large circle of circa 30nm in radius

3. BOAT's POLAR

By popular demand we release the polars for LEG 2. In the event of a discrepancy between the diagram and the file loaded on the game, the file loaded on the game shall prevail.

Pick the Winner

We've just opened the 'Pick the winner' contest. To make sure everybody gets a chance to vote we'll keep the contest open until Monday the 17th of November. Based on the results of leg one we expect a higher winner ratio!

We're looking forward to see you on the water on Saturday. It will be an impressive sight over 60.000 yachts leaving Cape Town!
